Queso with SYRACUSE’S Italian Sausage

Ingredients:
2 lbs. SYRACUSE'S Italian Sausage (Mild, Hot or Medium)
2 lbs. Velveeta Cheese
1lb. Cream Cheese
1 Can Diced Rotel Tomatoes
1 Small can Chopped Green Chilies
1 cup Chunky Picante
1/2 c Half & Half
1/3 c Fresh Cilantro, chopped
1/2 c Red Onion, chopped

Instructions:

In a regular size crock pot put Velveta cheese, softened cream cheese, diced Rotel tomatoes, green chiles , and picante sauce. Cover and heat on high. While cheese mixture is slowly melting, brown off sausage. (If using links or rope, remove casing). Crumble sausage with fork until sausage is completely cooked, about 20 minutes. Drain sausage. Stir cheese mixture with wire whisk while adding sausage. When cheese mixture is completely melted and blended, add half & half. Just before serving add red onion and cilantro. Fabulous as an appetizer with tortilla chips, as a side dish in a baked potato, or as an entree served over rice or pasta.
